AD{TS4727785} 2016 Fall RECREATION GUIDE & COUNCIL NEWS Summer goes by so fast that you turn around and it’s almost September! WHERE DID IT GO? We, at Ramara Recreation, would like to take this time to THANK everyone that makes our summer in Ramara the best it can be. Firstly, our tireless CAMP RAMARA staff- To Karly, Stephen, Justine, Eric, Jessie, Tyson, Mac and Morgan- thank you for making a difference in the lives of our young people who attended each week. We had so much fun pitting Boys VS Girls, getting wet and wild in Water Wars, filming our own adventures during Ramara’s Film Academy, getting our drama on during one of our theatre based camps and so much more. It was an eventful summer we will never forget! Good luck in school this year and see you next summer! Secondly, we need to acknowledge all of the volunteers who work to provide sporting opportunities for the children out here. To our Ramara Teeball volunteer coaches who taught the very youngest how to play and have fun to the Ramara Fastball coaches and executives who put together a fun summer league for players to be part of the team. We also have to thank the long running Ramara Soccer Club for all the hours spent at the fields or on the registration tables making sure that the league continues to grow and thrive. A special thanks goes to those who helped in our first ever Ramara Soccer Skills Camp partnership where we were able to help instruct 30 eager players through some skills and drills in what proved to be one of the hottest weeks of the summer. Thank you for your determination! And finally, it wouldn’t be a successful summer in Ramara without the participation of everyone who comes out for all the activities. Thank you for packing lunches and sunscreen for camp, for sitting through film festivals, soccer games, baseball innings and theatre productions. Thanks for getting them here on time and making sure they’re prepared. Thanks for listening to camp stories all night when all you wanted to do was relax. Thanks for coming – we can’t wait to see you next summer! Happy Autumn in Ramara. We hope it’s a safe and happy one!
