A Message from the President Real. Fun. Family. Beach. Four words that communicate a powerful message. We truly are a real, fun, family beach and it continues to be proven over and over again as we continue to have record setting months as indicated through bed tax and local sales tax numbers. We should all feel proud of the fact we are an active destination that families, couples, and individuals flock to every single year. community is how well all organizations and local government form collaborative partnerships. A true testament to our success as a collaborative community lies in the new partnership between the TDC, St. Joe Company, and the Bay County School district to build the sports village and a new school on the east end of the beach. We are also seeing our shoulder seasons continue to grow as the beach brings more offerings through events and festivals. This issue is full of fantastic opportunities for both locals and visitors alike. Through the efforts of your chamber, the TDC, and private groups such as Gulf Coast Jam the decision to choose Panama City Beach over other destinations becomes even easier. It is a great time to live and work in Panama City Beach. We hope you will get out and enjoy the fun and the sun by participating in all of the wonderful events found right here in this issue of The Circuit! To your life’s adventures! Lance Allison, CCE, IOM, President/CEO Our sports tourism market is exploding with the various softball, baseball, and soccer tournaments and is only going to get better as the TDC makes the dream of a sports village a reality. The sign of a truly successful CAPTION: Lance’s youngest children, Chloe and Jack. 10 THE CIRCUIT July/August 2015
