STEP N’ WEIGHT
Are you ready to party yourself into shape? That’s exactly what the Zumba program is all
about! It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired calorie-burning dance
fitness party that’s moving millions of people toward joy and health.
Adaptable for all ages and fitness levels.
Fire up the fun with the high-energy, easy to follow country dance-inspired workout that’s so
simple anyone can do it! And it’s so much fun you’ll barely notice you’re getting a total body
workout as you work up a sweat. You’ll dance non-stop to the hottest country hits and before
you know it, you’ll be burning off the fat and tightening your body from head to toe.
Learn more advanced Crochet techniques including crocheting with thread, sizing and
following and altering patterns. Students must have some experience crocheting.
Please bring a project you are working on or would like to start.
Learn the basics in our class, including slip stitch, single stitch and double stitch. Learn how to
follow basic patterns and the abbreviations used in them. Please bring a light coloured Number
4 weight acrylic yarn, a metal crochet hook size 5.5mm (I size hook) and scissors.
Lagoon City Choir is a recreational singing group.
Cost includes music and a CD, binders available for additional fee.
Yoga, but a little bit MORE! Hold those strength poses just a little longer to improve muscle
toning and core stability! This class is for advanced beginners, and will be more enjoyable for
participants who are comfortable with Sun Salutations and basic essential poses.
Please bring a mat or towel.
Family karate allows multiple age groups to train together. Working and training alongside
your children gives everyone a shared sense of purpose. It’s a great way to spend quality time
with the kids, get back into shape and learn some valuable self-defence skills.
Join instructor Gay Guthrie for our antique adventures series! In each session you will have the
opportunity to handle and examine a wide variety of objects as we focus on periods & styles,
decorative techniques and the history of antique china, glass, silver and some of the other
intriguing objects that can catch a collector’s eye. This is a hands on course and participants are
encouraged to bring items of their own to share and discuss. The 5th session at a local antique
shop to learn the tricks of the trade and put your new expertise to work is for any who have
taken at least two of the other classes.
If you enjoy moving to the music of the 50’s & 60’s then this class is for you. Come join Tracey
in an overall body workout as we improve our cardio and memory patterning when we step to
songs such as Wild Thing, and Let The Good Times Roll. We will also incorporate body weight
exercises to increase our body tone, and body awareness, to assist us in our daily activities.
Steps and hand weights optional - bring them if you have them.
Tired? Stressed? Feeling Blah? Join us for an afternoon workshop on Energy Medicine. Boost
your immune system, deal with stress, increase your vitality and sharpen your memory with
a simple daily energy routine that anyone can do, anytime, anywhere to retrain energies to
healthy patterns. Based on the work of Donna Eden, one of the world’s most respected healers,
drawing on Ancient Chinese Medicine, applied Kinesiology and other leading edge healing
knowledge. Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a towel or blanket and a pillow.
Whether you enjoy scrapbooking or love to make your own cards, come and take part in a new
kind of scrapbooking day - we are keeping the fee low, everyone who registers brings one potluck
dish - and voila! Lunch and dinner are ready for all. Your registration fee will cover the cost
of coffee, tea and water, and give you 12 hours of scrapbooking time. There will be no materials
for sale so make sure to bring what you think you will need or have to share. It’s all about the
company, the creativity - and the food!
