    Husker Shorts By The Omaha Scene Staff Another four quarters of imperfect football. The game started off on the wrong foot with a foolish penalty that allowed a Minnesota drive to continue resulting in a touchdown. The Huskers’ play was again inconsistent and while the offensive line looked better, Nebraska has yet to play a complete game. It’s hard to tell just how good this team could be if they didn’t have moments like the minus- 4-yard punt or the continuing ridiculous penalties. first meeting in the history of the program, and definitely not when they have to play at 10 a.m. Eastern Time at the Mighty Memorial Stadium. The oddsmakers currently have Nebraska as a 14 to 14.5 favorite. Nebraska 35 Maryland 10 Tommy Armstrong Jr. once again showed just how valuable he is this year, and while his heart is that of a hero, it also proves just what a sad state of affairs this team would have been if Gen. Pelini had been allowed to continue. Give credit to Mike Riley for not blowing a gasket during the first drive, and thankfully for those who were calling for Banker’s head after Year One, the defense at the end of the day (minus Ohio State), has stepped up when it counted again and again. This weekend the Huskers play Maryland, and in addition to the similar comparison of getting throttled by Ohio State last week, their starting quarterback has less of a chance of being able to play through his injury than Tommy.
