Account Information User Pane View users Admin Guide This option allows you to view the information for each user associated with the current library. Create users (Admin | Users | Create) As an administrator, you can create as many users as you need. These users will then be able to see the publications added to the library. First, write down the user name. Note that the user name should be entered in lower case without any spaces. Then, enter the first and last names, and the e-mail address in regular case. Finally, also enter the password in lower case without any spaces. The password then needs to be confirmed. For maximum security, select the Temporary password check box to force users to change their password the first time they log on. When the form is completed, click the Submit button. An e-mail will be sent to the user with his or her new password. The new user then appears in the View users form. Admin 2 ? MyVirtualPaper Page 4 Karin Adamczyk! 14/3/08 12:09 AM Deleted: p

Admin Guide By clicking this option, you can view the library's name and e-mail address after they have been created. You can edit the information for any existing library by clicking the desired line. A window similar to the Create Library form will be displayed in which you can modify the information for the library. Create library (Admin | Library | Create) Click this option to create libraries. The first part of this form is used to enter the library?s short name and full name and its Web site address. When this is done, you can enter information about your primary contact. All mandatory fields are identified by a star. Enter the information for the billing contact or simply select Same as primary, if applicable. You can also enter a technical contact after the billing contact. Any changes to the primary contact will then be copied and modified in the two other sections. When you are done entering this information, click the Submit button at the end of this form. As the main user, you can create your own permissions. This allows you to convert, view stats, modify publications, create hotspots, embed media clips, and choose different features such as the shopping cart. You can then assign permissions to your users. However, you cannot assign more permissions than what you already have. Admin 2 ? MyVirtualPaper Page 7 Karin Adamczyk! 14/3/08 12:09 AM Deleted: p

Publications Pane View Publications Admin Guide (Admin | Publications | View) (Manage Publications, List of Publications) By clicking this option, you can view the entire set of publications. These publications are presented in a standard format where each publication is displayed as a thumbnail with a summary and the publication date. You can view your publications in a summary line or detail line layout by clicking the Expand ? button. You can also easily and quickly sort your publications by clicking on a column heading. Using the Search box at the top of the form, you can find all the information you are looking for from within the Admin 2 interface. The search results will be displayed in the View Publications form. The Edit link located on each publication line allows you to open a new form to see the entire content of the selected publication. Create publications Admin Guide This option is used to create publications. The user has three options when converting a document: create a new publication, upload an existing document or upload multiple documents at once. The last option requires specific privileges since an FTP account must be created to handle a large number of documents. Option 1: Create a new publication You can convert your publication to Flash format in three easy steps. Simply click the Browse button to select the PDF, XLS or PPT document. Then, click the Upload button and wait until the document is completely uploaded. Finally, click the Publish button to post your publication. It takes approximately 20 minutes for the publication to upload. With this option, you can upload up to 20 documents at once. If you need to upload more documents, please see the Upload documents in batch option. Admin 2 ? MyVirtualPaper Page 9 Karin Adamczyk! 14/3/08 12:09 AM Deleted: p
