Currently my rig has stock 22R-E engine, 5 speed transmission, dual ultimate cases: 2.28 front, 4.7 gears in the rear case, 35" Wrangler MTRS with Kevlar, 5.29:1 gears, Detroit full locker in the front and welded in the rear. CUSTOMER DAY NorCal 4 Wheel Parts Stores GO BIG for Their Customers! Story Joe Rebelo Photos Holly Davis & Carlos Estrada On Sunday, July 24th, 4 Wheel Parts stores in San ÖÖJose, Oakland and Modesto, CA teamed up to throw what will go down in history as one of the best Customer Appreciation days in 4 Wheel Parts history at the Hollister OHV Park in Hollister, CA. As the flyer mentioned, there was BBQ, giveaways, vendor displays, door prizes, and just plain, good times! The BBQ was actually a catered taco feast provided by one of San Jose's finest taco vendors, right down to the freshly made tortillas on the spot! The final tally at the gate was 193 registered vehicles. That translated into over 400 participants, not including 4 Wheel Parts employees' rigs! This particular event was special in that it was thrown as a coordinated effort between three of the NorCal 4 Wheel Parts stores, as a way to help mingle its customer base, and see what is being done differently by each of their various customer areas. This meant that there were mild to wild rigs of all sorts, from bone-stock 10 / ORA OCTOBER 2011 Willy's jeeps to Top Truck Challenge winning buggies. The event was a great success due to the fantastic response of our customers, and for them to bring their rigs out, and help each other through various obstacles that can be found around the Hollister OHV Park. The customers could be found on one of four pre-designated courses, or just playing around the park on Mini-Rubicon, the Frame Twister, the Mud Pit, or upside down in Tank Trap. One of the best parts of the event was seeing the efforts of the guests, and 4 Wheel Parts employees scampering around looking for parts and tools to assist other wheelers with their broken rigs. What great camaraderie! A special "Thank You" to: all our vendors; Smittybilt, TrailGear, and Wheel Pros for their merchandise that was raffled; all of our participants/customers from all over Northern California; our employees who took their free time to support the event; and our friends and family that helped make this event the success that it was. p
