www.estesparknews.com COMMUNITY THANKS Heartfelt Thanks From Cowboy Brad I wish to thank the sponsors of the Bond Park Cowboy Sing-Along programs for another summer of fun, free music programs for our visitors and local residents. These programs provide a family-oriented evening of entertainment and participation for people of all ages, from all over the world. It is such a pleasure for me to be part of this on-going event, which would not happen without the support of the following organizations and individuals: Awesome Shirtworks Bank of Colorado Brownfield's Outdoor Gear Colorado Homestead The Town of Estes Park Gerald Mayo and Prudential Team Realty Richard and Linda Klapper Life's Bear Necessities Local's Grill Macdonald Book Shop Main Street T's Mama Rose's Italian Restaurant Moose Creek The Ore Cart Plum Creek Shoe Station Poppy's Pizza and Grill Rockmount Cottages Dear Editor, It is with my deepest appreciation that I write a note of special thanks and gratitude for Mr. Randy Davis with Good Samaritan here in Estes Park. Earlier this summer when Estes had the devastating fires, our church family had a member who lost her home. She was able to stay with us for a few weeks but was seeking a more permanent arrangement while she works to rebuild her home. Finding temporary housing in summer during Estes can be very challenging and it was no different this year. After working through my local net- Rustic Mountain Charm Serendipity Trading Company Sphere of Influence Fair Trade Store Stone Age Barbecue Sergeant Pepper's Music and Video I can't thank you all enough. Lastly, I thank Ann Taylor for organizing sponsorships again this year and Pennie and Kenny for helping me set up and tear down each night. The three of you made this summer especially enjoyable. I am already looking forward to next summer, when we can again sing, dance and laugh around the campfire. Happy trails, "Cowboy" Brad Fitch www.cowboybrad.com Big Thanks To Randy Davis And Good Samaritan To The Editor: Bracketed by a brilliant double rainbow before the first song, and a full moon rising during "Leaving on a Jet Plane," Brad Fitch once again brought the splendor of John Denver to Estes Park at the 9 th annual John Denver Tribute Concert over Labor Day weekend. The Estes Park Lions Club would like to thank Brad for the wonderful concert and for being such a positive ambassador for our mountain town. The Lions Club also thanks Bo Winslow and his fine staff at the fairgrounds for their logistical support. Thanks also to Macdonald Book Shop and the Visitors Center staff for distributing tickets. Publicity for such an event is critical. The support of Channel 8, the Estes Park News, Reel Mountain Theater, and the works I spoke with Randy Davis who was able to provide for my friends temporary housing need at Good Sam. He opened the door of Good Sam like a family would for her to begin again. Randy, along with his amazing staff have been the epitome of good neighbors in giving assistance to our community members who have lost so much. Thank you Randy for truly being a Good Samaritan, it does not go unnoticed and our lives are better because of you. Truly, Jill Anderson & family Thanks From The Estes Park Lions Club Estes Park Trail Gazette is greatly appreciated. Special kudos go to Hobert Office Services for their creative design and production of our poster, program, tickets, and the stage banner. The Lions Club sincerely appreciates the businesses in town that sponsored the John Denver Tribute this year. They are: Gold Sponsors - Edward Jones Investments, and Smokin' Dave's BBQ and Taphouse Silver Sponsors - The UPS Store of Estes Park, The Estes Park Mountain Shop, and Rambo's Longhorn Liquor Mart. Bronze Sponsors - The Other Side Restaurant and Photo's by Dill. Thanks again! We hope to see you at next year's tribute concert! Estes Park Lions Club Friday, September 14, 2012 Page 47 Thanks From Cowboy Ron Ball To The Editor: This is a belated, but sincere thank you to the folks at Estes Park's American Legion for helping to make my August 1 st performance at Performance Park something special. You may recall that day was declared "Colorado Day," as we celebrated the 136 Anniversary of the day Colorado Territory became one of the United States of America. Since I was doing a show on that day, my wife and I decided we needed to do something special, so after calling around some, we called The American Legion and they had just what we needed and were happy to let us use them. They loaned us an American and To The Editor: Hello everyone! I wanted to thank all of you who have helped me to be able to go on my mission's trip to Africa. I was truly touched by so many caring people who have offered their giving, prayer, a Colorado flag on standup poles which we were able to put up on either side of the stage to help recognize that special day. We opened the show with the audience standing and joining me in singing our National Anthem, then sitting as I sang "Colorado." This simple ceremonial to begin my performance made the show very special for me and I believe for the audience as well. So my sincere thanks to the Town of Estes Park for having scheduling me to perform on that special day and to the American Legion for helping make it possible to salute our Country and our State in a meaningful manner. Respectfully, Ron Ball Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! Breezy Swan would like to thank the American Legion Post 119, especially those pictured, for the donation so generously given to her from the Golf Scholarship fund allowing her to complete her degree in Psychology and Gerontology. There will be a gathering at The American Legion Saturday, September 15 th from 5 -8 p.m. for anyone who would like to join her in her celebration. and support.
