we are of our son, Rafi Lerner. For a couple of weeks before Yom Tov, he had been practicing the Brochos in hopes of getting an Aliyah on Simchas Torah. The day finally came, he waited patiently for all the men in front of him to get theirs, he put on a Tallis, stepped up to the Torah, recited the Brachos beautifully and received his first (IY"H) of many Aliyos! It was truly a moment of Nachas for us! Ari Glaser displayed such Ahavas Hatorah on Simchas Torah. He carefully and lovingly brought his special Sefer Torah to shul and danced with it with such Simcha - he was truly mekayaim the mitzvah of V'hayisa ach Sameach. When he came home, he rolled the Sefer Torah all the way back to Beraishis and started reading from the first Parsha. Of course, Ari was also very helpful during all of the Yomim Tovim. He helped set the table and clear the table for all of the Seudos, he swept up after the meals and he made sure we know the Parsha by testing us from the questions from "The Little Midrash Says" for each Parsha. May he always have such Ahava and Zerisus for Torah and Mitzvos! Thank you! We are so proud of Shaya [Weimer] - how much he loved doing all the Mitzvos of Yom Tov. Shaya made sure to Bench Lulav and Esrog everyday, and told us all about the Ushpezin. Shaya also showed us what a Baal Chesed he is by bringing a washing cup/bowl for Netilas Yadayim for his great-grandfather who has a hard time walking. We are so proud of our true Ben Torah! Dear Rabbi Brull We wanted to share how proud we are of our Gavriel [Kadden]. Gavriel had his own real Lulav and Esrog. He woke up early everyday of Yom Tov to go to shul to daven. He learned Mishnayos at each of the meals with his father and brother. Gavriel even read the Mishnayos and translated them - can you believe this?! Gavriel has been learning and practicing Chemdas everyday - he is becoming such an expert! For Simchas Torah, Gavriel and his siblings made 250 candy bags for his shul. He helped give them out and he danced with all the men! WOW! We were all very impressed with Yosef Simcha [Loeb]'s learning and davening over Yom Tov. He went to shul everyday and learned. He behaved beautifully in the Succah. Thank you for being instrumental in his growth in Mitzvos and Torah. We are so proud of Shragi Blumenkrantz. Shragi was so outstanding over Succos! His Divrei Torah, singing at the Yom Tov table, all he knew from his "Succos www.talmudicalacademy.org Page 11

booklet", dancing on Simchas Torah with a real Sefer Torah, shaking his very own totally kosher Lulav and Esrog, ALL like a pro and a Tzaddik, with such a smile! Shragi made sure to go to shul and learn Chumash and Mishnayos with his Tatty - so super...each and every day, and he davened with such Kavanah. Shragi did a great job when he got an Aliya in Zeide Blumenkrantz's, Z"L shul. Shragi played so nicely with his cousins, helped out Mommy with our little kids, listened great to his parents, and always made sure to thank his Bubbies for having us! What Nachas we have from our Shragi. Thank you Rabbi Brull for all you taught Shragi. He knew so much of Hilchos Succos and all - was such a pleasure! Two separate people in two different shuls came over to me to tell how impressed they were with Yaakov [Abramson]'s Middos. He initiated a conversation by introducing himself to a kid he didn't know and was kind and caring to his little sister. We are very proud! Yesterday, my neighbor came to tell me that she had left groceries in the hallway to bring upstairs since her bags were heavy. Yaakov came in, saw the groceries and brought them all up to her door. His thoughtfulness impressed our neighbor ...and ME! Hope you enjoyed a beautiful Yom Tov. We wanted to let you know how proud Eitan [Robbins]'s Zeidy and Bubby Goldberg were, as they listened to Eitan's inspiring Divrei Torah and observed his davening and learning over Succos in Toronto. Of course, his Mommy and Daddy were duly impressed as well. Thank you for continuing to instill an Ahavas Torah and love for Mitzvos. Uri (Grunhut) made us so proud over Yom Tov. He gave up his room without complaining for most of Yom Tov, davened beautifully, and learned happily. We were so proud to see his excitement to do all the Mitzvos of Succos that Rebbe taught! And on top of all that, he treated every one so nicely and was Mevater to keep everyone happy! Dear Rabbi Hexter Just wanted to let you know what a Mitzvah boy you have in your class. Shlomo Khoshayev was very helpful at home looking after his brother and setting up the Yom Tov table. In shul, Shlomo danced with Page 12 Talmudical Academy Of Baltimore

the Torah with tremendous joy. He helped little kids hold the Torah. He helped organize all the books in the shul. He sang many songs with exceptional joy. We thank you very much for teaching him all these Middos. Sruli Teichman was awesome over Yom Tov. He davened in shul next to his Daddy, he bentched Lulav and Esrog in the Succah. He helped mommy serve the meals, he danced with a Torah on Simchas Torah and "caught" an apple from the Rav at the apple Tisch. He was also very helpful and played with his little sisters so much. We are going to miss having Sruli home all day. We are so sad that Yom Tov is over! We are so proud of Uzi [Milevsky]. He shared Divrei Torah at our Seudos. He also read the entire Parshas Lech Lecha to practice Kriah. Also, he reviewed Perek Yud-Bais a few times with translation. We are looking forward to a winter of continued learning. Yitzi Furman did so many Mitzvos over Yom Tov. He first started out helping to decorate the Succah on Erev Succos. He went to shul with his father and shook the Lulav and Esrog. He went around the Bima and said Hoshanos. He also danced on Simchas Torah with his father and Zadie and ate tons of candy. It was so nice to see Yitzi busy with so many Mitzvos for Succos. We are so proud of him! Daniel Kholasechi was such a Tzaddik during Yom Tov. He slept one night in the Succah even though the weather was very cold. Daniel went to the shul for all the Tefilot and he davened so nicely with his father. Daniel also went to the shul on Hoshanah Rabbah night and he stayed up the whole night. He said so many nice Divrei Torah in the Succah and everyone enjoyed them so much. I am so proud of him! I hope that everyone had a happy and healthy Yom Tov. Thanks Rabbi Hexter for letting us visit your Succah, Dovi was so excited to see you! Elon (Feld) made our Succos so enjoyable. Not only did he talk about the Halachos of Lulav and Esrog that his Rebbe taught him, but he was also prepared to say the long awaited Aliyah on Simchas Torah. He did such a good job that the man next to him asked him when his Bar Mitzvah is! Elon also took out the time to learn and review the first Perek of Parshas Lech Lecha. Thank you very much for instilling in Elon such enthusiasm for Yom Tov. www.talmudicalacademy.org Page 13 Continued on page 18

Continued from page 13 Dear Rabbi Dinovitz Eliyahu [Margolese] had a beautiful Succos! He was excited to have guests, he read his D'var Torahs, he slept in the Succah, and he learned and davened everyday. He sang Hallel with a Lulav and Esrog everyday; he danced in shul on Simchas Torah. He played nicely with his cousins and friends; he did Chazarah on all of Parshas Toldos and Vayishlach, and even made time to have lots of fun! But my favorite part was when he told me Dovidel stories and I was remembering when I was in your class and you told us these stories! May Hashem bless you with many more healthy years. Super Esrog Visits TA! Sar-Shalom Sharaby from Rabbi Zelinger's 4th grade brought a "supersized" esrog to show his classmates. Mrs. Berzon's 1st Grade News Mrs. Berzon's boys have made quite the splash into first grade! Despite a Yom Tov packed first month of school, the boys have quickly learned the classroom routines and launched into learning. After reviewing numbers 1 through 20, the class has begun constructing addition sentences. The boys acted out addition stories and enjoyed playing the parts of addends and sums. Working with counters and blocks further helped the boys grasp the concept of joining 2 parts to make a whole. The whole class has been busy examining sentences and making sure there is proper capitalization and punctuation for each one. The boys are using their sentence skills to compose personal narratives which express how they are each a unique individual. There is one thing all the boys have in common - they love learning! Mazal Tov! To Rabbi & Mrs. Yaakov Lefkovitz on the engagement of their daughter Sivi to Yossi Eckhaus of Lakewood. Mazal Tov also to the grandparents, Rabbi & Mrs. Yehuda Lefkovitz. To Mr. and Mrs. David Meltzer on the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Uri. To Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Purec on the Bar Mitzvah of the son, Ari. Page 18 Talmudical Academy Of Baltimore
